Phase I

The main objectives of this phase of the project are study and analyze a real queuing system using elements of queuing theory. In this first phase we are going to describe and measure the relevant aspects of our system in order to identify failures of the system that requires the approach of solutions to improve system performance.

Additionally, our suggestions must be cheap and feasible for the budget of a government entity

Suggestions

  • Increase the number of servers in the third and second station in order to supply the demand of customers that use this service, allowing them to improve the average of time waiting in queue that is generated during rush hours and also optimize the average time in the consultation service that is made to each user.
  • In conclusion, if the reforms are not made in the station 2 and 3, the average time in these stations will remain long and there is not going to be any improvement.
  • If there is not improvement, the amount of futures customers and incomes would decrease.
